About Us
About Us
Since Music Generation Louth was launched in 2011, we are proud to have provided thousands of young people annually with access to music making and learning. Our wide-ranging initiatives across popular, classical and traditional music bring fresh approaches to performance music education. Our mission is to make music both meaningful and exciting!
Our Access Programmes bring music directly into local schools, giving students the opportunity to learn instruments, sing, and create music as part of their school day.
We offer fun and affordable after-school lessons, ensembles, and performance opportunities for all levels at our music hubs in Dundalk and Drogheda.
Music Generation Louth is committed to child- and youth-centred learning that nurtures musicality while supporting personal development and wellbeing—now and into adulthood.
We are part of Music Generation, Ireland’s national music education programme initiated by Music Network and co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds and the Department of Education and Youth.
Locally, we are supported by our lead organisation Louth Meath Education and Training Board, our strategic partner Louth County Council Arts Office, Dundalk Institute of Technology and our voluntary advisory group, the Louth Music Education Partnership.
