In the eventuality that a teacher is unable to give a lesson/class, the student may be given the option of taking a make-up lesson with the student’s own teacher at a date/time to be mutually agreed or offered a lesson with a substitute teacher.
We would be grateful if students could give advance notice to Music Generation Louth in the event that they will not be able to attend class on a particular date so that we may notify the relevant tutor.
Music Generation Louth reserves the right to dismiss any student for frequent disciplinary reasons, overdue tuition payments and/or non-compliance with regulations. Students thus dismissed are not entitled to any refund of tuition fees.
Parents/Guardians are required to remain on the premises whilst their child(ren) attend lessons. Children will only be under Music Generation Louth’s supervision during their class time and neither teachers nor administrators/supervisors are responsible for supervising children outside of this time.
Regular practice is essential to see any improvement in the student’s musical abilities. We ask that parents keep in regular contact with the music tutor for guidelines on practicing and to monitor your child’s progression.
Students attending individual tuition and wishing to prepare for external graded music exams should consult with the tutor regarding dates and procedures for registration. N.B: The registration of students for external exam will no longer be administered through the Music Generation Louth office.
Music Generation Louth can provide students and/or schools with musical instruments. The instrument on loan will be recorded by Music Generation Louth and an invoice issued. The details of the hire are on the Instrument Loan form. The instruments are loaned on a term-by-term basis. It is the responsibility of the student and/or school to look after the instruments. Any broken instruments must be repaired. Please Note: The repair costs will be the responsibility of the student and/or school.
